My partner Jocelyn and I own a 5.5ha avocado orchard and a 7.5ha kiwifruit orchard at Glenbrook Beach South Auckland. The avocados were planted by us in 2005. We manage the orchards ourselves as well as running a small orchard labour contracting team and a hydralada hire business.
I bring 25 years of Avocado growing experience to a role on the Just Avocado Grower Advisory Group. I hope to use this experience as well as the complimentary knowledge that I have gained from growing kiwifruit to benefit Just Avocados’ growers. I was also a Grower Rep. for NZ Avocado for several years but finished doing this circa 2015.
I like the flexibility that Just Avocados is able to offer growers, the technical support which they can provide growers as well as the fact that they are a relatively small and friendly family orientated business.
